To be eligible for Hong Kong Skilled Visa
you will need score at least 80 points in the skills test with maximum marks of 165 Points. The basic points system setup by the Hong Kong Immigration department is consist of 5 major factors what are described as under
1) Age: Age of the applicant is the first factor which is used to count the points, maximum points that one can claim under this factor is 30 points which can be claimed if applicant is in between the age group of 18 to 39 years. Minimum marks that one can claim is 15 points
2) Academic Qualification: Academic or professional qualifications is one of the major factor in which an applicant can claim points, Maximum points that an applicant can claim is 45 points and minimum points is 30
3) Work Experience: In this factor maximum points an applicant can claim is 50 where an applicant need to have experience of not less than 10 years including at least 5 years on a managerial level. Minimum points awarded are 10 points where applicant needs to have at least 2 years of work
xperience.
4) Language Proficiency: Maximum points that an applicant can claim is 20 points in which applicant needs to be proficient both in written and spoken Chinese (Putonghua or Cantonese) and English, and minimum of 10 points where applicant need to be proficient in written and spoken Chinese (Putonghua or Cantonese) or English.
5) Family Background: In this factor an applicant can claim maximum 20 points, under which applicant need to have At least one immediate family member (married spouse, parents, siblings, children) is a Hong Kong permanent resident residing in Hong Kong and minimum of 5 points if accompanying married spouse is educated to the equivalent level of a degree or above.
CANADA
Canada Federal Skilled Worker Professional Immigration
Federal Skilled Worker applications are assessed based on an applicant's ability to become economically established upon immigration to Canada.
In order to qualify for a Canada Immigration (Permanent Resident) Visa, Canadian Federal Skilled Worker (Professional) applicants must:
- Have at least one year of continuous full-time or equivalent paid work experience in the past 10 years in one of the 29 qualifying occupations; or
- Qualify for arranged employment with a full-time permanent job offer from a Canadian employer.
In addition, Canada Federal Skilled Worker (Professional) applicants must attain at least 67 points based on Citizenship and Immigration Canada's (CIC) immigration selection factors.
The selection factors are summarized as follows:
- Education : Applicants are awarded up to 25 points.
- Language Skills : Applicants are awarded up to 24 points.
- Work Experience : Applicants are awarded up to 21 points for paid work experience acquired in the last 10 years. A minimum of 15 points is required.
- Age : Applicants are awarded up to 10 points.
- Arranged Employment : Applicants are awarded up to 10 points.
- Adaptability : Applicants are awarded up to 10 points.
In addition to meeting the above criteria, applicants must show that they have sufficient settlement funds to support themselves and their dependants after arrival in Canada. Applicants and their dependants must also undergo medical examinations and security clearances as part of the Canadian immigration application process.
